About

Juliet is an expert communicator, journalist, and lover of words.
Thanks for stopping by my online portfolio.

Here you'll find my writing in the form of feature stories, long-form investigative articles, and press releases as well as magazine editing that reflects my experience working in journalism and communications.

I'm a graduate of Emerson college, where I majored in Journalism with a Political Science minor. I worked on my college newspaper for two years, first as a Living Arts Editor and then as Opinion Editor. In 2021, I interned for the New York Post's feature team, where I tracked down Washington Square Park roller skaters, interviewed a nun about her suntan lotion addiction, and wrote an expose on the downfall of the distinguished women's only co-working space, "The Wing."

I've had a passion for communicating and sharing stories since my first job as a teen reporter at my local newspaper. I have since honed my skills through both print and broadcast. Whether I have to chase someone down the street for a quote or wait in a hotel lobby for hours, I am willing to do anything to interview someone. To me, people are at the heart of every great story. Everything has a human interest angle—How does this topic affect people and how do they feel about it? Without that element, the story just isn't worth telling.

While working as Opinion Editor of the student run newspaper during my Sophomore year of college, I wrote the paper's finance column "Strapped For Cash". I touched on struggles that plague low-income students who attend private colleges and evaluated structural issues within the education system and corporate world that prevent working class students from getting ahead. This ignited my passion for Opinion writing, which has since become one of my favorite newspaper sections. You can find the column here.
